Project Details

Chosen Packages: Fractional Design Support
I was brought on board as a fractional designer to support the Hub with design services that would elevate their messaging and visual presence. The main deliverables were a 12-page strategic plan, social media graphics toolkit, promotional materials, logo refinements and print coordination—all designed to reflect the Hub’s vision for community impact.

The Client

  • Create a strategic plan that would serve as both an internal guide and an external marketing piece, showcasing the Hub’s commitment to social change and innovation.
  • Refine the existing logo to incorporate the new name while maintaining brand cohesion.
  • Develop social media graphics to support the rollout of the new strategic plan and engage their audience.
  • Design a promotional pull-up banner that aligned with the refreshed branding and strategic plan.
  • Manage the print process to ensure the strategic plan was produced on 100% recycled stock, reinforcing the Hub’s commitment to sustainable business practices.

The Brief

The Frankston Social Enterprise & Innovation Hub needed a comprehensive suite of design assets to support the rollout of their new strategic plan. They wanted a cohesive visual identity that would resonate with their diverse audience and align with their mission to create a flourishing region for social enterprise. Their vision was to provide clear, actionable, and inspiring content that showcased their pillars of social impact.

1. Logo Refinement: The first step was adjusting the existing logo to incorporate "Innovation" while ensuring the new version remained aligned with their original branding. Small but important refinements helped maintain brand continuity while reflecting the Hub’s expanded focus.

2. Strategic Plan Design: I took the Hub’s existing brand elements and created a 12-page strategic plan that was visually engaging and aligned with their mission. I drew inspiration from the nautilus submark in their branding, incorporating it into the design to reinforce their story of growth and impact.

3. Social Media Graphics & Toolkit: I designed a suite of branded social media assets to support the rollout of the strategic plan, ensuring the messaging could be effectively communicated across digital platforms.

4. Promotional Materials: A pull-up banner was created to visually reinforce the Hub’s messaging at events, aligning seamlessly with the strategic plan’s design.

5. Print Coordination: To eliminate the need for additional outsourcing, I liaised directly with print suppliers to oversee the production of the strategic plan.

The refreshed visual assets successfully encapsulated the Hub’s mission and vision, helping them communicate their strategic direction in an impactful way. The strategic plan provided a strong foundation for their ongoing work, positioning them for growth while maintaining alignment with their sustainability goals.

By managing the entire design and print process, I streamlined the project, eliminating additional steps for the Hub and ensuring that every element—from branding to final production—was executed with consistency and intention.

The social media graphics and toolkit were well received, and the promotional pull-up banner provided a strong visual presence for events and public-facing activities.
By printing on 100% recycled stock, the final product reinforced the Hub’s values of sustainability and social good. This end-to-end approach ensured a seamless process from concept to final delivery.
